Bridal Makeup in Slovenia: Frequently Asked Questions
Short answers to the questions destination brides ask most. Each one links to the page with more detail.

Booking
How early should I book a bridal makeup artist in Slovenia?
As soon as you have your date and venue. June, July and August weekends book up first, and July fastest.
How is my date reserved?
With a deposit, paid after the video consultation or trial. Until then the date is not reserved.
Is the deposit refundable?
No, but if your wedding date changes, the booking can move to the new date.
Is it too late to book two months before?
Not necessarily. Weekdays and some weekends may still be free, so it's always worth asking.
Can I add bridesmaids later?
Yes. Book the bride first to secure the date; the rest of the party can be added closer to the wedding.
Trials and planning from abroad
Do I need a trial?
It's recommended. If you can't come to Slovenia beforehand, a video consultation is the next best option, and a trial a few days before the wedding is possible if you arrive early.
When should the trial be?
About two to three months before the wedding, in the artist's studio, at your hotel or wherever you agree.
What do I send for a video consultation?
Daylight photos of your skin without makeup, your dress, inspiration photos and a few looks you don't want.
Can we plan everything in English?
Yes. Izidora works in English, Slovenian and Serbian/Croatian, and understands some Russian.

The day
Will the artist come to where I get ready?
Yes – to the apartment, house or hotel, anywhere in Slovenia, with professional lights.
Can you do the groom, mothers and bridesmaids too?
Yes. Bridesmaids, mothers and grooms are booked per person, and a team of assistants and makeup artists joins for large groups.
Can a tattoo be covered for the ceremony?
Yes, tattoo cover-up can be added to the booking.
Can the artist stay for touch-ups?
Yes, for touch-ups or for the whole day, for an extra fee.
How long before the ceremony should we leave?
Allow the real drive time plus an hour of buffer – summer traffic around Lake Bled in particular can turn a short drive into a long one.
