Some context for those numbers: 19 of the 39 artists charge more than €80, and only 4 charge less than €60. Artists who specialize in weddings usually charge €120–250, while general beauty salons that also offer bridal makeup cluster around €50–75. Only 2 of the 39 offer airbrush bridal makeup. You may still see an older range of €39–80 quoted online; it comes from a 2023 survey and now describes only the lower half of the market.

Why the gap between €50 and €200?

Mostly, it's what the price includes. A wedding look has to last from morning until after midnight, survive tears and summer heat, and look right in daylight, flash and video. Wedding specialists usually build in a trial or consultation, long-wear products, the early start and the time to keep a large party on schedule. A lower price can be perfectly fine for a small local wedding – just compare what's actually included.

Travel: the part brides from abroad forget

Most brides marrying in Slovenia get ready in an apartment, house or hotel, not in a studio. Published price lists handle travel in three ways:

• Per kilometer, there and back – between €0.36 and €0.45, most often €0.43.
• A higher on-location price instead of the studio price.
• A minimum group size before the artist travels, often the bride plus two or three people.
